Went to work today. There’s power there, being next to a large swiching station has it’s benefits.
I was filling holes today where people needed help. Good thing, because I didn’t feel like coding.
I’m a block down the street now at Antidote coffee shop. They’re running off a generator but have wifi. I’ve hijacked my neighbor’s unused phone line; who knows when mine will work.
To answer cousin Debra’s question, it’s been unseasonably cool. The day after Ike we had a cold front come through (and several inches more rain). It was below 60 last night and it’s been very dry.
On the drive home … [Edit: hmm some of this post got lost in the debris]
I don’t recall how I started reading your LJ way back when, but it seems we are neighbors now. I’m between Washington Ave & the Heights. My neighbors have power but my block is still in the dark.
Cheers!
