That is the best read I've had in a month. Bacevich is spot-on. Sadly, I have moved past any hope that anything like that will ever register on the majority of Americans. Like Global Warming, I've decided to just work on being prepared for what comes next. There's no hope of preventing the consequences, no hope of convincing people to change. I just have to prepare for the inevitable. If this political system here at home comes unraveled, what will (the collective) "you" do? Where will "you" go? How will "you" protect your family?
