That is the best read I&#039;ve had in a month. 

Bacevich is spot-on. Sadly, I have moved past any hope that anything like that will ever register on the majority of Americans. Like Global Warming, I&#039;ve decided to just work on being prepared for what comes next. There&#039;s no hope of preventing the consequences, no hope of convincing people to change. I just have to prepare for the inevitable. 

If this political system here at home comes unraveled, what will (the collective) &quot;you&quot; do? Where will &quot;you&quot; go? How will &quot;you&quot; protect your family?

If &quot;you&quot; are not asking yourselves that question, &quot;you&quot; could be vulnerable to a world of pain. Maybe soon.</description>
