Too much Jagermeister is bad for the body,… but I get ahead of myself.
I started early sunday at my sister’s opening presents with the nieces and my dad and step-mom and step-sis. Then the two older nieces, dad, and grand-dad went to the Texans game.
After a long saturday, I was more in the mood to hang out with my sister than to do legal work, so I hung out with her and watched the game on TV.
The Continental Club employee party was held starting in the evening in the new bar. Pete and Jack had been mopping and decorating for days, and it looked GREAT! It was so great to see people drinking at the bar and flowing through the space, even without the patio, which will be a great part of it. I can’t wait to get it open.

I extended my stay this morning at my sisters. We opened presents with the nieces and my Dad/Pawpaw. He’ll be in Canyon Lake over xmas. As most left for the Texans game, I stayed with my sister and just hung out. I was planning on going in to work (at the law firm), but cancelled on that as to be rested and ready for the Continental Club employee party tonight. Should be plenty of fun at the new Big Top.

In a speech on Oct 20th1 Colin Powell said “You cannot eat plutonium“. Less than 2 months later (Dec 15), he has surgery to remove his prostate gland which has “localized cancer”2.
Coincidence?

After doing the heavy clerical work last week, I was back at the Big Top today, finishing up some of the wood floors, and planning some of the bar trim, meanwhile Pete and Jack got some carpet down on the riser that looks good, and Dave did some major cleaning and organizing to our scaled down and moved shop space.
It was to be some trim work and light plumbing tomorrow, but I rangled a job at a Law Office that’s in a crunch to file a bunch of stuff on Jan 5 – so I might be slightly more busy during the holidays than I’d planned. But I can basically set my own schedule, so I’ll still make most of the partys, even if I’ll be more reserved than otherwise.
